Queenslander and Pony are probably out boating at the moment with all that rain down their way.

Some isolated spots have had near a foot of rain over two days.

You'd think that wouldn't you, looking the radar.
Spoke to the parents this morning, 100mm so far all up down near Eidsvold.
Only 50 odd up past Monto, that little block of mine just keeps missing out on the run off rain.
Hopefully today.
What've you had?

Total of 265mm here so far, not quite a foot but it’s still raining.
Daily totals of 200 are very rare for us.
The Burnett has some serious water at the moment so there must have been some big falls somewhere up there Pony.

Another 45 mm on top of the 81 so 5" for today.

216mm for the past five days.

This is the best rainfall event we have had for ten years. Creeks that have not run properly since then are running strong. Some fence damage to start on tomorrow.

Glad my chain did not get washed away.

Just got off the phone.
Apparently Wuruma Dam is at 110%, so I'll be fixing fences for a bit, well, there's still a fair bit of water to come down from up towards Biloela, so it might stay up for a bit.

60mm today at block near Eidsvold, so 160mm all up.

80mm today north of Monto today, so around 130mm all up, that's a few km from my block so hopefully indicative of what I got.

The next headache is getting up there, plan was to head off in the morning, but at this stage can't get through.
See what tomorrow brings.

Forecast was right about the sharp cut off to the south. 2 parts of bugger all today here in the Lockyer Valley, and I think we got about 30mm all up.

Wuruma Dam at 121%, made it to 145% in 2013, so a bit to go yet.

Cania at 25%, so just that little area that keeps missing out, north in behind Monto, up towards Biloela.

Well that was a lot harder than it should have been.
Have to take Dad to the Oncologist in Bundy tomorrow, so really had to get up today.

Can't go west and up as cant get through Mundubbera.

Found out the roads washed away between Goomeri and Ban Ban, not just under water, so any chance of sneaking through was a no go.
Can't get through from Murgon to Hivesville and up to Binjour.

So ended up going across from Goomeri to the Bruce and up to Maryborough and then into Biggenden and then back to Ban Ban and up.

There's been a lot of water getting around.
Tomorrow's adventure will be getting to Bundy, apparently the river will peak tomorrow and both bridges are closed, spoke to the Oncologist and they are open and working. We can cancel no dramas but then you have to wait for another appointment which will be a pain, so it may be back over to the Bruce and up that way.

Lucky fuels cheap.

Diesel was 2.45 most places I drove through today, cheapest was 2.19.

Hope your dad's cancer is under control. I feel lucky I have a treatable cancer. Don't like the fatigue though.

Nah it's terminal, prostate that was undiagnosed and now its all through his bones.
Having said that, Chemo brought his PSA right down and he's still fairly active, so its all good, but thanks for the sentiment.

Sad to read that news Pony.
Although we’re not particularly close to your mum and dad, we have known them for a long time and, as often happens in small communities, consider them almost a part of the family.
Please wish them both all the best from K and myself.

Is the Childers- Bundy road through Woodgate still open or the Gin Gin Bundy road through Sth Kolan?

Yeah wasn't that bad Tones, got a bit of luck.
Road through Mt Perry to Gin Gin was open and planned on going down to Apple Tree Crk and back to Bundy that way.

But, pulled up for a leak in Gin Gin and quick check showed the bridges just opened, cant get through Sharon (don't know about Sth Kolan), so had to detour through Bucca and into Bundy.

Really sorry to hear that. Glad that he can still do things.

Well this wasn't much smaller than the 2013 levels, somewhere around a couple of foot lower.
This is one of the better crossings to do, its only got the two channels and flattens out on the other side.

Where I've put the fence up is just under waist deep, but it's the overflow channel so the flow isn't there.
In the main channel which you can just see through the trees it would be much deeper, even at waist deep you wouldn't be able to stand up.

I've currently done both boundary crossings, at least one the house/yards side, there's no way to cross it, so the other side won't get done til it drops enough to cross.
Neighbour must be busy as no sign of him.

I've got 3 more internal crossings to go and they're ugly with a thousand tress and up and down channels. Only 1 is big and open, but it allows the sand to bank up and bury your posts and wire feet deep.

You can see the high water mark just about at my feet.
