on the positive you get a very movable machine at logging roads...

Rubber tire sure have the advantage when there are narrow, winding paved mountain roads. There are a couple guys with self-propelled Skagit GT3’s driving the roads from job to job, or even from the yard to the job, in Northern California/Southern Oregon.
