    Hello,

I just purchased an older Genie GS-2032 (circa 2000) and have spent hours on the Genie Lift website looking at manuals. Very frustrating. Can't seem to find most if the info I need, so I'm hoping the collective wisdom here can help. Here are my questions.

    1. What does it mean when a small dot flashes in the bottom right of the LED screen. For example, the display shows 2 bars of battery strength and the flashing dot. One thing to note is that the lift did not come with a key, so it stays in the platform controls on setting all the time. The flashing dot may just mean that the unit is on, but I can't test it until I get a key.

    2. Should there be 2 110v power connections behind the platform steps? I'm wondering if a PO added an aftermarket battery charger at some point instead of fixing/replacing a failed factory charger.

    3. Is it correct that the ID sticker should be on the top of the base chassis (visible when the platform is raised)? If so, it's gone. Is the SN stamped anywhere on the unit?

    Thank you!

    Cory,

I have had one for a while, but I bought it from a rental yard and painters had all but made the panel useless with overspray. There is a flashing light that lets you know the unit is on too much of a grade to move. There may be others. If the flashing light is the grade indicator and the lift is on flat ground, the sensor may be bad or out of adjustment/ As a rule, if the flashing light is yellow, it's more of a cautionary indicator telling you something's wrong. If it's red, something's broke. On mine, one of the plugs is for the charger and the other is to power the receptacles in the basket. Good luck.

    1. The flashing dot on the display indicates that you have the battery drain alarm turned on (unit will start to beep if left on and not functioned for a set period of time)

    2. One of the 120v plugs at the rear of the unit is for the battery charger. The other one is for the power to plat option (the GFCI outlet in the platform)

    3. The serial number is stamped on the drive chassis in two locations (1. above the steer wheel near the zerk fitting) (2. on the opposite side of the unit above the non-steer wheel)
