New job Pics

Hello everyone,

Well its that time of year when the white stuff comes down and shuts down dirt moving for 5 or so months:Banghead, so i'm going to try this again and start a post of all the pics I take at my new job.


So i got lucky and got hired in at the beginning of Oct into E.T MacKenzie Companies there MI division that is(they have a NC and FL office too) not as an operator off the bat but they said that the first opening for a operator that i would be the first they would contact:notworthy (we will see if that's true:beatsme). But i have done some operating to "prove" myself and nothing back saying that i suck lol.

The company is fairly big, they just traded in most of there old equipment for all brand new stuff except for a few things oh and did i mention they got all CAT!!! :drinkup:drinkup

All was good then it rained:Banghead:Banghead Clay+2" of rain= slimy mess for a wheel loader(950K and 329E), so all we did was pull fence post and pile them to be processed.

A couple more for tonight

the first 2 are of a different site i was at for the rest of the week after the picture of inside the loader pulling fence post, that site is a commercial development i think about 5 building pads and then a couple apartment buildings then a road next door to the back of there existing subdivision that is on one side of the property, apparently they were 3 "different" jobs but all on the same site :beatsme , i was there to help finish up what was left to do which was a handful of water services and tie two directional bored force mains together.

The 3rd is of a new 815F series 2 packer that showed up from our FL division that i ended up getting to run a couple days.
The last 2 are of the challengers that arrived the next day to start moving dirt!!!:cool2:cool2

Yeah they are and yep that's what the last guy that ran it did and tore the trans right out of it, lets say he's not going to run equipment anymore for the dirt crew.

Here's some more

The first 3 are from me stripping an area with a D4G that was 2ft+ of topsoil! :Banghead i really wish i could of used a straight blade D6T they have to strip the area.

The 4th pic is of the "dirt trains" Challengers posted up after a day of stripping topsoil.

The last pic is from the top of a big clay pile at one end of the job looking at the entire site, eventually that pile will have to be moved and used for fill on the site.

Well that sounds expensive. We had a guy pretty well ruin a tranny in a brand new 815 once, probably had to do with the 4th gear pushing he was doing. Personally, the worst I've done is knock off some of the tips on rock.

yeah that 815 was brand new also, 4th gear! man you don't go any faster than 2nd in the fill or else you don't get good compaction.

Nearing the end of the pictures for the end of this year before layoff came

got some more equipment dropped off, 349F, 336E and 950H,
so now we can start the pond cut but first we cut out the sand that was in the way to use as fill around the pipe.

Gettin at em one morning, normally we run just after sunrise which was around 8am cause of the stupid time change, but decided since rain was on the way we would start a 7am.

Finally i got to run the 815 for a couple days, was told by the dirt crew boss that i did pretty good for my first time ever running a 815.
