Thanks guys.
Yep, still have the freightshaker. We bought it new in Eureka, Oregon back in '91 while on holiday. It's done around 560,000 miles and 23,000 engine hours. Motor is about 1000hrs into it's first rebuild, box and diffs are untouched. It was my first real rig, love driving it.

Here's how we got the Freightliner back from the U.S
It was a t.unit for the first 5yr
Then spent 8 as a truck and trailer
Now it's back as a t.unit in a semi-retired role

Yeah, it was Aussie designed and built. The Eagle F4870 was a flash version of a T2670 (see pic) that was aimed at owner-drivers. Ours was one of only two heavy haul spec units bought into NZ, the other having a 400 Cummins. To the best of our knowledge that rig is no longer on the road, leaving ours as rather unique.

That's interesting, over here the flash T line was sold as an Atkinson.

I used to drive a ACCO 3070 inter prime mover with a NA 903 Cummins @ 300hp coupled to a 15 speed, which for some reason used to keep breaking one of the leaf springs in the Hendrickson. It was pretty worn out as it did the Adelaide opal fields run for many years before finding it's way onto the farm.
Was like this except it was bogie drive http://cgi.ebay.com.au/internationa...temQQimsxZ20090624?IMSfp=TL090624162001r11170

Great pictures jared. You have some neet trucks & lowboys. We have some narrow country roads whith steep grades in my area.I really like the lowboy in the last picture ,It looks like the rear axil is steerable. Is there a drag link between the truck & lowboy that controlls the steerable axil on the loboy,or is it done with hydraulic controlls in the truck cab?

Those are great shots. I always love to see how things are done abroad. Hey Tonka, imagine pro 350 trying that hairpin turn.

Fairly certain it is just a castor steering axle. He can also clip another 2rows on.
