I got what I believe is a '66 JD 450 dozer with manual angle blade, and a 3325 winch. Got it for a steal. The winch needs overhauled the adapter to the pto shaft was partially stripped, I just knocked the pin and slid it until it engaged to check the operation. Found the winch works great until theres any load and the brake barely holds harder than I could pull by hand, the right brake doesn't work at all(my biggest concern), and when you first shift into gear it'll grind then be good until you shut it down again, the pto is pretty hard to engage and grinds if you engage it with it running. Is there any adjustment for the clutch? Or am I going to have to rip this thing down and put a clutch in it? Also whats common things to look for with the right brake? The hour meter only reads 4664 and the engine runs well with no blow by and it'll still push dirt pretty well. I'm going to look for a service manual for it.
