What is the best solution for keeping an 815 from tearing a lowboy deck to pieces?

Some pieces of scrap OSB or plywood works well too, although it adds a bit more to the overall height than conveyor belt.

The machine had a couple of cleats that stuck up alittle then the others so i finally talked the boss in to fixing it but even after that it still does damage. I didn't want to put anything under it because of height. The boss man told me to shove some old tires under it.
