Lull/skytrak 9038 extend /retract boom cylinder repair Help??

I have a mid 80's 9038 skytrak that the extend /retract cylinder inside the boom is leaking severely. I am going to repair it and wondered if anyone had done this job before and if there were any tips in doing it?? Anything would be helpful.
