Hey,

So we have an older 220-lc (6?) I believe on farm. We were told it had aux plumbing and had ran a hammer before we bought it... doing some research on what's needed to add hyd thumb. Attached are pics of what I assume a bidirectional valve that needs line connected to make complete.. problem I see is how to control the valve. It had a solenoid to turn on circuit but not control to both way???

May have been arranged with one-way hydraulics, probably a foot switch to run hammer.

You should probably post a serial number for the guys that can access part numbers. Your best bet is probably going to be to find a foot valve and run pilot lines to operate the spool. Electric will be vastly more complicated to operate it efficiently and productively as a 2-way circuit. To do so will require a proportional control valve, and probably different joysticks. Not impossible, just expensive.

So, it would be possible to install foot spool valve and control the valve like the joysticks? Would it need anything between foot valve and hydraulic valve? Lil green on concept..

Attached is serial number

HKX would be a good place to contact. They helped me with several Hyd accessorie kits and installs for various makes and model excavators including Komatsu.

Good day
You have as you point out only one directional control a six two valve would offer the possibility to share another control for example bucket, the attached may help.
Kind regards
