kobelco ED150 Safety switch??

Kobelco Ed 150 was operating to day and was working properly. I pulled the safety lever to exit machine for a minute. When I got back onto the machine I activated the lever it made a beep beep but it had no controls like the lever was still activated. I messed with the lever for little while engaging and disengaging and all of a sudden I had controls! Machine operated fine until I got back off and of course its in the middle of a drive now and will not move. It continues to beep but I still have nothing. Needing help bad its parked right in the way of the whole job!
