Joy Air Compressor info needed

Hello there. I have I think a mid 60s portable pull behind joy air compressor. It has a flathead six continental engine and runs good. Does anyone know how to check compressor oil? I want to maintain this but cannot find dipstick, glass tube, etc... My son and I need to work with this and I don't want to burn anything up. Thanks!

A lot of the old Joys had the dipstick on the bottom of the filler plug. Not sure if I've seen one that old though.
