John Deere 710D Torque Converter

Hello,

I am looking for some guidance for our John Deere 710D. It needs a new torque converter (diagnosed by a mechanic) and I am wondering:
1. How difficult is the task to replace the torque converter? I have a lot of mechanical experience with personal vehicles and trucks. Equipment is obviously a much larger consideration in scope and tools.
2. If we consider swapping ourselves, what would be the steps associated with replacement? Broad strokes would be appreciated. For example, does the transmission need to be dropped?
3. Tools to consider for the process?

Please do forgive my ignorance if this discussion is couched in another thread. I searched a bit for this and found some discussion under a John Deere 310D but not necessarily addressing these questions above. Any input is greatly appreciated

Welcome to HEF Jdotson12;)!

Machine serial number please. There are two different transmissions for that model and they are vastly different.
