We got a used John Deere 490E processor this summer. It does not come with a manual and I found little info about it on the internet. Just some basic specs. What we want to know is about fluid types and how to fill them.
We know about the standard hydraulic and the engine oil, but on the specs it says: Planetary propel drive (each)...3.4 qt. (3.2 L);
Swing drive...2.8 qt. (2.6 L).
Where and how do we fill/check those and what kind of fluid does it use?

Planetaries should have fill/drain plugs on the outer cover. Swing gear ought to be beneath swing motor with dipstick. They both take gear oil 80/90w don't forget pump drive either. Small dipstick on backside side of pumps. Not sure what type oil but may be able to look it up
