Typically Deeres had cam driven fuel pumps on the side of the engine. Follow the lines from the fuel filter back toward the tank. What's it doing, or is this just general knowledge?

Thanks Delmer -

A steady drip from the bottom of the fuel pump...seems to have a little hole, similar to a water pump on an older car engine. Thinking this is there (the hole) to alert the operator that the diaphragm (or seal) is failing, and that I need to change the pump??

For the replacement, shall I put a small dab of grease on the 'tang' that touches the camshaft? Also, add some fuel to the pump after it is installed to 'prime' it and reduce the amount of air that would be in the fuel lines?

Thanks again,
Mark

P.S. Where are you in Wisconsin?

Not too far from Reno (MN) the way the crow flies anyway.
