New battery and Crimp on terminals, starts in morning runs when I'm there, then i get a call a hr later it died and won't even crank over. Let it sit for 30-45min starts up. It always running when I show up. Is there a relay for starter somewhere. I dont have my boox with me. I know they are in cab, but what one? It did this last yr when it was hot out but it would crank, just wouldn't fire up. They ran it with rear hood/door open and never had a problem again. They had trouble over winter with it starting off the battery, if they hooked a jumper to it it would start up no problem. Does the starter relay also run fuel pump or glow plugs? Trying to figure out what is making it stall after running half the day and what is causing it not to crank when hot. If I go there tomorrow morning its going to start right up and run

K1 and K2 relays can prevent starting. K2 is easy to get to, K1, not so much. Has the pilot lever switch been checked? That can do it too.

Check your messages.
I check that it was moving, but never tested resistance when its not starting. The switch will make engine stall when u are working? I'd think it would just stop the hydraulic functions

Thanks for the breakdowns, I wonder if the X13 wires go behind that panel and to the K2 relay. That would explain why it was dying out last yr when AC was on when it was hot out. I unplugged compressor so guys wouldn't run it and it was fine after that.

Something still getting warm under rear hood and making it stall out. Open rear hood and it runs all day no issues. Idk if fuel pump is getting hot and it stops working, but it fires up once u open hood and runs rest of day. I did change fuel pump back in 2020, 7700hr, it has 11k hr now . Maybe pump? Is there something electrical in injector pump getting hot like shut off selonid? Idk

I would suspect fuel shut off solenoid, if getting hot is shutting it down.
Does it die like you turned the key off or does it act like you shut the fuel off and start trembling and shaking, before shut down?

I'm suspecting the dust in your radiator preventing good flow of air through the cooling system & across the engine. that fan on the water pulley is good at moving air, but if you can't see through the radiator fins, it's not going to do much anyway.

no matter how much I tried to pressure wash it, compressed air blow it out, I couldn't believe how much dirt comes out of the radiator in a professional cleaning. Also, when the radiator is out, you can much more easily clean the single row oil cooler.

I have a 50 ZTS - from 2001, so it came with the Izuzu engine, not a Yanmar, but the cooling problem is common in most ZTS, I think you are just seeing it manifest early. Breaking the hood mounts from vibration will be a symptom of keep the hood open so it runs. Keeping the hood open is a symptom of a poor cooling system.

Just my thoughts.

Its the rear hood, its on metal hinges. It runs cool. Temp gauge doesn't make it up mid gauge and I've temp gunned the radiator, tstat housing, hoses, hottest I've seen is 180

Idk how it dies, its always running when I'm there. It shut off on them once or twice in last couple weeks, but as soon as it does they open rear hood and it fires right back up and they run it rest of day. At this point I'm waiting for something to fail or when it gets warmer out to pinpoint exactly what it is. I have a fuel pump, I may grab a fuel shut off selonid just to have on hand. Then wait for the issue to pop up
