Yes, that's a sign the valve is plugged, usually with a disintigrating flex ring that will look like coffee grounds. You can check the side inspection plate also. You can clean the valve and it might work for a while, to finish up a job etc. Eventually the governor will have less affect on the engine speed and it could eventually run away and go boom. Typically not a DIY repair.

IF you have to go there injection pump repair is best left to a fuel shop

I had the same issue with my 310C. Sent the pump for rebuild. Do not take the injection pump off before investigating the proper procedure. Retiming the pump to the engine is a WHOLE lot more work than doing it correctly.

Yes I purchase it ran fine for a few hours then would stall out like no fuel .Tank was nasty cleaned and lined .Still won’t stay running.
It still won't stay running with the check valve removed from the injection pump? or with the cleaned valve reinstalled? There are other things that will make it shut off from fuel starvation, but if it runs with the valve removed, then it's not fuel starvation obviously.

Did you check for blockage in the fuel return line all the way back to the tank? Also, blockage in the leak-off line from the injectors? It usually ‘Tees’ into the fuel return line

It stayed running with return line off and check valve removed. Cleaned valve several times it would run longer initially but then run 5-10 seconds then die.

That confirms the valve is plugging. If you find coffee grounds that will confirm the ring is coming apart. It's POSSIBLE that it's plugging with other gunk from sitting, but the ring will fail commonly.
