I've got a CASE 221D and I like it very much. I looked at the 244's and was not sold on the additional steering feature. My CASE was built by O&K in Germany and has a Perkins Diesel in it. It is a very heavy duty little powerhouse. The newer Tier II models and the E series do not seem to be built as heavy. The Tier II's have Deutz diesels and the E's have an Italian diesel. The biggest draw back with the D's are the coupler, too many moving parts down in the dirt. Definitely not a deal breaker. I'm very happy with this machine.
