first id like to thank everyone for the replys it help a lot :thumbsup
i put it on over the weekend,we used 7014 to weld the
1st bead on 125 amps and second pass we used 7018
on 150amps alternating back and forth from one bracket
to the other to keep it from getting to hot.
nothing warped or bent and curling the bucket on to
the thumb did not show any signs of weakness.
i tried it out on some logs and some rocks and it worked great.
on the quote from tuney :
"The old adage--"You get what you pay for" could'nt be any more true than right here.1/2" plate is not going to cut it unless you're going to pick up beer cans."
its olny a 43 hp and i dont want a ton of weight added
to the stick.and if you use the thumb as a thumb instead
of prying, digging, ripping, stone crushing, it will hold up to
a little more than beer cans.
if im wrong ill be the 1st to eat my words ointhead
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE :notworthy
and ill keep ya all posted......
