why is it that jcb has a bad rep in america in england every second backhoe is one. i remember when the 3c machines came out the local cat dealer sold them and it was like they did not know how to fix it if anyone remebers the ford cortina of the 1960s/1970s the ford dealers whould not fix at all

I think you answered your own question hiluxman. JCB is an English backhoe, it would be logical that every second backhoe in England would be a JCB. Likewise, in America, every second backhoe would be a Case or a Deere, with Cat in the mix. I don't think it's so much JCB has a bad reputation in America as much as it is JCB has to muscle into the already present market of American machines.
