injection pump

had my injection pump rebuild on 315B cat excavator started a couple times fired right up but now it spins over probably 5 times before it starts runs good never a issue before the reason for rebuild was it was starting to flutter when it would go to idle cat rebuild engine 2 years ago

filters would be my first move.
Do u have an electric supply pump.?
Unhook it from the inj pump and put the line in a bucket and turn the key and watch the flow..
Possibly inj pump timing.??
What about a pre-heater.?? U got 1.?? Check for proper operation.

Thanks its mechanical pump pump went on same way it came off so i think timing is correct.
