How many cans of refrigerant should it take to recharge air conditioning on a 700 John deere?

We put in two of the smaller cans and it didn't do anything. Does anyone have any experience with this machine charging the system? Thank you

More information needed. R-134A system assumed? What did your gauges indicate prior to pulling in additional refrigerant? Are your coils, (evaporator and condenser) clean, with adequate airflow through, or across them? Is the air conditioning compressor turning when commanded to run? If the compressor is running, is the smaller, or discharge line noticeably warmer, or hotter to the touch than the larger suction line? After you've pulled in the additional refrigerant, what do your gauges now indicate after stabilization?

Why does it need freon? Where is the leak? Did you fix the leak or was empty because it was it apart for repairs?

Need a whole lot more info to get any kind of answer to your question.
