How do I get the studs out of the rear wheel hubs on a Deere 310L?

Found this.

Seems like a better choice than hitting them with a sledge.

Seems a little drastic, why do the studs need to be removed?

I need to install spacers to fit tire chains for winter, and I have to remove the old lugs to replace with longer ones.

I see. That hub is high strength steel, probably forged. You won't hurt the hub by pounding out the studs. Put a block behind it if you're worried about the bearing. That press, or other presses will work fine too.
