I'm having two problems with this machine. When cold the machine runs fine and after a while of running it slows down like its in turtle mode. Secondly, the throttle motor revs up when you first crank and then the machine dies. Is there a way to relearn the motor.

Turn the key to on(don't start) and press the p button on the throttle control and listen for the throttle motor to cycle. Turn it off and then start it.It should start at idle. If not then check the throttle position sensor (inside the motor cover ) it might have a stripped gear. Also make sure the cable moves freely.
