Diesel Dave, I can’t thank you enough for walking me through all this. We’re up and running great again. I have a few issues that need fixing but nothing major.
Long post but to recap in case someone else is having similar issues. ….Stalling under load, hydraulic oil getting hot and no power when moving the controls.
1) PVC codes said the DP sensor was bad. Back probed sensor on the machine and bench tested before spending $2k. It was bad and replaced with an OEM sensor. That fixed the hydraulic oil from getting hot and hissing. Loss of power was better but now intermittent.
2) Reset codes. EC fault, communication fault between EC and PVC….N sensor fault. Machine ran a little rough I-P on the throttle control but stalled when moving bucket controls. Went after the fuel filter and the banjo screen (banjo screen was packed full of rust and sand). Machine ran great for 5min then started acting up again. Banjo screen was clean. Poked around and found the problem. The hole in the battery cable end was to big. The wing nut only tightened on the terminal stud and not on the wire. At some point, half the terminal end melted off. Replaced and now we’re kicking ass.
This machine is new to me so I’m working my way through things as they come up. The tank is coming off this afternoon. It runs great for 20min before the banjo screen is packed full again. Gonna fix it now before garbage makes it to the injection pump.
