I'd see if the manual showed how the lines are connected and what they all do. If it did buy the manual. It's always good to have manuals for your equipment but some are much better than others. It's possible the person you talked to at Reynolds had poor customer service skills just like some dealers. Some service people are worse than useless and some will go out of their way to help you. Some won't help much if you didn't buy the machine new from them.

Follow all the lines and make sure you hook up the same cylinders to the same control valve and they aren't mixed up. Maybe hook up 1 set of hoses at a time and see what it does. Once a certain function works move onto the next set of hoses.
