2 pics of Hayes HDX sn 5540 with cat 3408, 6 speed automatic 91000 lb rears 14 ft bunks. This truck was auctioned in 2007 or 2008. Does anyone know her present status? Sorry about poor quality of pictures.

Hayes trucks in the logging industry

WOW Hayesno1 Last time we saw her was at Hayes Forest Yard That is old MacMillan& Bloedel Unit H154 from Sproat Lake Division She was transferred to Franklin in the late 90s and went with us to Hayes Forest when the big takeover happened and then low bedded out and that was the last we saw of her till now Unit H154 s/n 5540 delivered to Sproat Lake Division Aug 7 1973 I seem to remember she had a bad vibration in her and both Franklin and Sproat shops had chased it but never came up with anything. This was AFTER the 3408 was installed and those engines caused a lot of grief with vibrations. Good post Hayesno1!!!!
HDX; Thank you for your great information. I could not recornize her before I compare her with a few pics of her in her right/correct red and white colors. She was a beauty and for sure I want to know her present status. I think I have posted these pics at MB thread before. This is M&B #H154. When pics were shot truck was parked at HFP in Duncan as their unit #T8074. Somewhere I got more pics of her - I just wonder where

Hayes HDX sn #4016 with 60 ton Hayes trailer sn #4015. Unit was auctioned in 2007/08 as I recall - never seen it since. Anyone know her present status? This might be same unit I shot pictures of at Cameron Div. 2010

This is a Lake Lamere Logging truck. I have posted a few pics of her at this thread. The yellow truck belongs to Dystant from Campbell River. This is unit #21. He has several Hayes HDX and KW 850.

One of Dennis Dystants trucks, I'm guessing over near Zeballos? I think they're hauling over there. I'll ask his guys hauling out at Eve on Monday. Dennis has another Hayes there, plus two KW 850s.
I think Dennis got at least 4 or 5 HDX - I'll have to check unit numbers. He has a special trailer - white with blue Hayes colours. I better find pic of trailer and post it.
TorkelH; I think they are great pics. Did you take those pics this year? I have not seen the HDX with lowboy from GR before - must be some contractor. Beban HDX is new to me as well. When I went to Head Bay in 2007 I did not see anything beside Dystant trucks comming down - they were heading back to CR cause the strike.
Dennis Dystant HDX unit #14. Pics were taken at Head Bay and at Dennis shop in Campbell River. As far as I know Dystant got at least 5 HDX. They are numbered #3, 12, 14, 21, & 22. He might have more. He has a few KW 850s as well. They are unit #1, 10, 17 & 33. I have not seen any Pacifics in his fleet. Maybe someone can ad further information. Pic #4 - look in background you can see Dennis white and blue Hayes trailer.

The engine has a lot of power, and should be easy to work on as it doesn't require a scanner to diagnose problems. Still lots of these dinosaurs running around, parts maybe tough to find?

Looks like someone took all the parts they needed to get their truck/ trucks mobile and a few parts left over. Appears as though you know where they parked the trucks prior to them stripping them down.
