Thanks for the before pictures, makes it great to see the dramatic change you have done to the old girl. Makes my day to see another one saved, not cut up and hauled away as scrap. Thank God for people like you, saving them for latter generations to see and enjoy..

On page 112, picture 1679 is how #4 is looking now. First owner was Ted Routh, then Butch Carroll, then Steele Rock has it now.

Talked to a guy that drove this truck when it had a gravel box on it 10 years ago, at some time later it was redone and saved for those special days. looks nice!

HDX after all these years, have you switched the Maxi buttons on dash so that you pull out to apply? Original came with push to apply on Pacifics and I assume the Hayes maxis were the same.

Thanks to Doug (72 Hayes) I felt I won the lottery, he has his WHD plated and he let me go for a drive down the highway, the best 1/2 hr of the year. This truck is a dream to drive at 10 ft wide all the cars give you lot of room just look in the mirror and make sure you are in your lane and you are king driving down the road. Thanks Doug

I thought the "push" to apply maxi's was sort of a safety thing....In the event something happens to the driver he just has to push/lean on/fall on the buttons and it locks the whole thing up..........Cory

No Cory When M&B Cameron Division got two new P16 Gliders in 1986 One Conventional H234 and one Preload H233 They both came from the Pacific Factory with the Sealco type Maxi Button Pull to apply the old black one -- Al Horton Driver of H233 could never get over that!!! Don't know if it was still in there when sold to Mars Contracting in 2002 during the big garage sale at Cameron Division. She would be totaled in a bad accident a few years later

Thanks...I was just curious...I remember someone at Pacific telling me they were "push" on for safety reasons. You guys have made me aware that not everything we were told was exactly factual.......That's ok...25 years later I am still all ears......Cory

It was all about the $$ sealco is less expensive than williams and kenworth and pete were using them in that era and kenworth used them in off highway also so if they were approved with transport canada they were jumping on board to keep cost down just like today. The bottom line!
