I installed the tailgate latch pins and cables. Just required some drilling and tapping. The parts are all stainless. Going to remove the air con cover and get it wrapped. Tried painting it 4 times at my old home and it just fell off. The cover currently is a mess. They will make me new Red Dot decals as well..

Had to take some pics of the A/C cover to send to them. I forgot it has hole and a grill up top. To say the cover is a mess is a understatement. The Reddot decal is red and black. As I am getting the cover wrapped in satin black I will change the black in the decal to white..Truck needs a very good clean up.....

More Irons in the fire..A few years ago I bought new stainless intake plates for the Cummins. The factory inlet is not in the center. They make dual inlet ones but they are for trucks that have the intercooler pipes go down the side of the rad. Mine go over. It will be a dual feed intake using 2 1/2 stainless tube.I will eliminate the grid heater as I dont need it and it just disrupts the flow..This will be a very simple design and a friend will weld it for me as I dont have enough power here for a tig machine..I have a Idea for a plenum style manifold but that will have to wait .The tubing and elbows are on order...
I have heard the dual inlet intake works well

Intake plate is bolted down to a pc of 1" aluminum.

I got all the stainless tubing today for the intake... Need to do some drawings and engineering now...It's all good.

I have some ideas but am going to keep it simple..If i can get access to some equipment and a tig machine I will build a plenum style manifold. This idea will certainly improve the distribution of air. That's my primary goal..

Asked a friend to come by and help me fire up the Grizzly. He showed up before I could get the battery charger on it (it has 2 big battery's) so we did that and I changed direction and we put the interior back together in my 36 Diamond T. Once the Grizzly is up and running I will move it up the driveway and start cleaning it up.
I have the main shifter and the A-box shifter a little to close to each other on the truck. I couldn't use standard boots and trim rings so my friend came up with what you see..

I am going to ad another step on both running boards of the Grizzly and while searching for good pics of the running boards I found this pic. My truck is new and sitting next to a very good looking Challenger.. I don't know if I have posted this pic before and I don't know where I got it from..

To my eye it looks better now than when new (full credit to you). The black line along the lower body maybe. Does it sit slightly higher now or maybe that's an angle of camera thing. Definitely a useful looking, solid vehicle.

Thanks...It sits much higher now. Rear spring perches were flipped during the 4WD conversion..

Still trying to figure out the math on my new Intake. I have two options for my friend and they are both very different.Getting the correct height is the issue. I found some tight radius 2 1/2" 304 stainless elbows and purchased them. I am OK with too many parts. I have had a few long calls with Art who (original owner) owns the Sayward Grizzly and he is going to send me detailed pics of his aluminum hood..I am not the only Grizzly owner who wants one. I know 2 others. I am also talking to Chris who bought the truck off of Gibson's and it has a aluminum hood.. Rumored to built by the same place on Van Isl. That truck is less than 10 min west from me.

Fired my truck up today..Its been a few years. It only turned over twice and it fired right up. We let it run for about 30 min. Good to hear it again

Generally don't pay much attention to my regi's. I was putting the current paper work in the Grizzly today and sat down with my calculator and converted the kilo's to lbs. It would appear my Grizzly is a 2 Ton pick up...News to me...I did weigh the truck and the paper work is close. Will what does your regi's say...
