You can splice but thats alot of splices in one cable. You can get the cable from genie or thv. Id replace it at this point..

For sure. Especially with lift equipment. OEM parts, keep documentation for repair work and maintenance.

Our just buy some cable im bulk. Genie does not produce the cable. They get it third party just as you can. You might not get the same color wires but as long as its your machine and you can keep it straight for future trouble shooting should arise colors matching would not be an issue. You can reuse you old connectors and just buy new deutsch pins. I have got after market harness before that had a few wires that did not match the oe harness. Again this is not an issue. Its not a flagrant disregard for safety or repair by using a different but equal cable. We rerun so many power to platform cables and control cables we buy it on a 500' spool and make our own. Up to you but thats what we do.

We get it from our local electrical supply company they order it in for us. You should be able to get it from graybar, etc etc. Thats in your area.
