Hi,
I have an early 2000's DL-8H. For the transmission removal the Gehl book states to remove the engine(and all that goes with that), the hydraulic pump, and then finally the transmission/transfer case as an assembly.
Mine is leaking fluid from the bellhousing at a staggering rate so I assume the input shaft seal is shot. Would like to just drop the trans if possible. Problem is the machine is currently 50 miles away, in the field, the entire trans is covered in dirt and fluid which makes getting it clean enough to do a good inspection a bit of a challenge.
Thanks for any tips!
