Gehl 4840 fuel problems

When my skid steer gets down about 5 gallons it starts spitting and skipping and eventually will stall. It draws fuel off the bottom so i don't understand why at 5 gallons it start doing this. Fill tank back up and it works fine. Very confused.

It sounds like either a hole in suction line inside tank or someone got the supply and return lines crossed up if that’s possible on that machine. Just a thought anyway.

Could be a blockage inside the tank, or a screen inside the tank partially plugged up.
