Hi all does anybody know the fuel burn per litre per hour for the cat 279c track loader ?

The 279C and the 289C has the same engine. My 289C burns Apox 3.0 gallons per hour when operationing at full throttle. Using the foot throttle when loading is much less!

A quick check of the calculator puts the fuel usage at around 11.35 litters per hour it’s a bit on the thirsty side as a hitachi ex 130 burns about the same amount per hour hmmm……

Mobile units -- in general -- will burn more fuel than stationary units. I can't say that 3 gal/hr is representative, but you can't compare across different types of machines.

Its alot of bang for buck! That machine does alot of work in a hour!
