We have an old ford/NH 555E that we’re replacing the seat on and decided to go ahead and try to fix the seat swivel at its very sticky and jams very easily.
We removed the seat but I don’t see a way to remove or disassemble the swivel assembly.
There’s a carriage bolt head visible from the top but no nut visible on the underside.
90* from the carriage bolt on top is a carriage bolt head on the bottom but again, no nut up too.
The green is the carriage bolt head (and where I assume there’s supposed to be a second one 180 from the first) and the red is where the carriage head bolts are underneath.
The second photo is a (not very good) shot of the underside, it appears the base is a disk and the top is a square with 4 U’s that are turned on edge and (possibly?) keep thesquare centered on the disk as it turns.
Does anyone here happen to have experience with these or know what direction to point us,
Thanks.
