Fitting a large shaft in an undersize hole aka: lots of fire and ice

Hey guys:

You may be interested in seeing how we pressed the turbine runners back onto the new shaft we made for our Leffel hydraulic turbine runners without a hydraulic press. The second runner got stuck about 4" down the bore and we had to lower the assembly to the ground and use a 30 ton hollow core ram to press it the rest of the way on. It was quite cold and getting dark towards the end!!:
