we did a little project in secret because no one is suppose to know what was going on or what happened. i sunk the Famous Black Cat for the 18th time and could not talk about until the secret project was completed. today we travelled 10 miles south of the Kingdom and recovered the Famous Black Cat. it was not a big job when you have the right equipment and the experience. 10 hours later the cat was in the heat shop drip drying so he can do it again, lol.

FSERVICE -- my only problem was too many visitors, everyone liked quading out to see the poor cat. oh well, it is not the first time and won't be the last time either, lol.

fixou812 -- yes the windshield is the way to go up here in the great white north. it keeps the bugs off your face at high speeds, lol.

it took 2 days sitting over the pit to drip most of the water out of the trans and engine. i was able to get him started and go for a short test drive to mix the oil with the what is left of the water. i even shoveled off all the muskeg so he does not smell as bad when in the heated shop. the second time draining the oil and water from the trans was a nice bright white which means i'm getting all the water out of the oil galleys in the trans. i now have the Famous Black Cat sitting in the heated shop so i can chase out the water out of the little things.

on the pit it looks like you have I-beam at the top of the walls .why is there a useful reason for it or just for forming. it also doesn't look like it's but about 5' deep I am wanting to build one soon just trying to get ideas thanks clint

clintm -- the pit was built out of recycled material in 2012. first i used a 550 backhoe to find flat bed rock for the pit to sit on then built a box to support the weight of jacking a semi up. the pit turned out very well and will give me a lot of years of service.

no, there is still lots of track on the pit wall. i off set the cat so the drain pail is not in the middle of the pit and i can walk around it. plus the camera angle makes it look bad too.
