Excavator steel track links seizing up when dry

Hi there, new on here! Can anyone help me with my steel tracks on an excavator binding when they are dry?? Cheers in advance.

Pour some diesel on the tracks. Once the rust is broke free it should be ok.

The best application method I have come across is a pump-type garden sprayer or similar. You can set the nozzle to a fine mist and get the diesel right into the gaps between the track links where it will eventually soak into the joints. It may take 2 or 3 applications before all the joints free up.
