Need to replace a tired Furukawa HCR-9E hydraulic rock drill. Has anyone got experience with a hydraulic rock drill mounted on an excavator? There are a few different manufacturers of these set-ups,just don't want to mention them on here. The added reach, above and below ground level would be a big advantage. When the drill was'nt needed,it could be removed and the bucket re-installed on the excavator. Not sure if going back to a dedicated crawler mounted rock drill is the way to go now. There are advantages/disadvantages to both set-ups,so any feedback appreciated.

I would suggest calling Tramac in laval, PQ. they have an excellent line of Drill attachmens for excavators. I have seen a few here in Newfoundland that work great.
