Long time lurker, first time posting.
Currently doing the slab prep for a light duty shop. Just got the 3/4" crush aka top layer roughly spread out.
Only machine I have access to is a cat 308 with the mini dozer blade, ripping bucket with a finishing blade welded on the teeth. First time doing finish grading. Several hundred hours on excavators tho. Just looking for tips and tricks on how to go about it. The walls and ceiling are already in. 24' wide x 40' long by 20' high. I searched the forum but only came up with dozer tips, although some still apply. I know it's preferable to use the heel of the bucket and to start thicker.
Other then that?
Also it'll get packed by a packer later on, cat CP... how much extra material should I leave to not end up under my desired thickness?
