EX120-2 auto throttle

Is there a setting to turn the auto throttle on or off on a 91 EX120-2? IVe looked at a couple used machines, two would lower the idle when the controls didnt move for a couple of seconds. I looked at a third and the throttle remained set and would only lower manually. The owner wasnt aware of a setting and has operated it like that since he bought it. Could this have been an option on the machine or an indication of something wrong?

There is a master button on the switch panel where the key is. it should be the button on the left side of the auto warm up button. I am not aware of it being optional.
