I am in too deep
the swing brake will release when i arm in but not when i try to swing.
if i let go of the arm in the brake will set after about 5 sec.
i've been through the manual and through the forum but can't get a grip on where the control signal originates.
could sombody point me in the right direction?

That system uses 2 pressure switches to release the swing brake. One on the arm in pilot circuit and one on the swing pilot circuit. Sounds like you have a faulty swing pressure switch. Compartment behind the cab. There should be 2 rectangular hydraulic blocks in there. The one farthest away from you has 2 pressure switches. The pressure switch closest to you on that far block should be the swing pressure switch.
