Engine replacement

looking for something to replace a junk Iveco engine in a Case 450 skid steer. Short block, long block, what ever probably work. Thanks!

The engine is out so that how we know we need an engine. The cord is worth much with a bad block and crank.

You can get a reman from CASE. It is the 4.5 if I remember correctly. Great motor.

Yes you are correct only problem is the reman one is around $13,000 and new is $15,000. Pretty pricy for me.

This may be an option. The 95XT/90XT which used the 3.9T Cummins is the same structural machine as the newer 450/465 that used the 4.5L. The Cummmins are much cheaper even as a reman from CASE. You might inquire what it would take to put a 3.9T back in the 450. I am not sure on engine mounts and that sort of thing but the machines were not changed structurally between the two models.
