Hi MTIBill,
I checked out your MTI website. I have only recently stumbled upon horizontal directional drilling and some of the techniques, rigs, and tools used. It is an interesting field for sure.
Do you ever get calls for drilling apparatus for applications other than HDD?
We manufacture drilling rigs (wheeled and tracked), several different types of drill string (blasthole, in-the-hole, and raisebore), and excavator mounted drills (our CPA line that use Montabert hydraulic "top hammers"), along with a line of underground mining equipment and some construction attachments such as our Hydracrusher line. We dont manufacture anything applicable specifically to HDD, but we do for many types of other drilling such as production drilling, longhole drilling, in-the-hole drilling etc.
MTI (Mining Technologies International) is always interested in dealer relationships, especially in the eastern US where we have only recently started expanding out of the underground mining industry, which is why I asked if you have requests for drilling equipment outside HDD applications.

Well really we just specialize in HDD drills (horizontal directional drilling). There are other types of drilling equipment like missles and mole drilling / auger boring machines etc. but really thats not our area of experience. You are welcome to start a thread on the forum for other avenues of drilling.
