I have a customer with a Deere 644K wheel loader that has a JRB quick coupler on it and the bucket lock cylinder pins are secured to the cylinder rod with metric spring type roll pins. These roll pins last about 6 months before falling apart. Just wondering if anyone has come up with a better way than using roll pins? They also have a 624K which instead of the roll pin uses a solid pin with a retaining ring holding it in the bucket lock pin. The problem is that the 644 bucket lock pins push all the way into the bore so no room for a retaining ring.

Yes this is a problem, lost 2 pins because of this. Tack a plate over end so they can't fall out when roll pin let's go
