Machine starts up and ramps up to full throttle without touching control knob. Not running away. 6cyl Turbo diesel.

Deere 450 won't idle down

Check to see if the throttle on the inj. pump is free.. & touching the low idle screw.
IF yes.. remove the return line on the top cover & see if someone has knocked out the check ball in the return connector fitting..

Is the step motor froze in full throttle position ?

Check fuses F2, F3, F6, F8 and F9. If the fuses are good then remove cover from behind the seat and look at the controllers. I think the second one in the pile should have an LED light. Is it on constantly, off or blinking?
