Deere 318D Quick Tach not working from the switch.

The motor does work if hooked up directly but isn't working by way of the switch on the machine. Is there a fuse or relay for this? I did find a 30 amp in-line fuse back by the starter which is good.

Welcome to HEF Dozerman;)!

First, when posting, please always include a machine serial number.

There are 2 fuses for that circuit. The one you checked and the F7 20 amp fuse. Did you check the 20 amp F7 fuse?

There are 2 relays under the cab, left side when looking in, if I recall correctly. If your Quick-tach does not work in either direction, then it is not likely a relay. One relay is for lock, the other is for unlock.

Is the switch good and passing voltage through it?

Time to start at the quick-tach and work backwards with a meter or test light to find where you are loosing your voltage.
