Does anyone else have issues with Milwaukee chargers dying? My first one died after several (5+) years which I guess isn't too bad, but now it seems my rapid charger decided to quit after a year and 3 months.

What model Milwaukee charger do you have? I have the Milwaukee multi-port fast chargers, does 3 qty 18V, XC6.0 in under an hour. Works great!

It's just a single bay rapid charger. I looked it up and apparently the chargers have a 5 year warranty which I was surprised about. So I'll be sending it in.

Does yours charge all three batteries at the same time or sequentially?

So I plugged my charger in one last time before sending it back and guess what? It decided to work again! I really don't know why it would do that but I guess I'll hold off sending it back for now. I tried it in several different outlets with multiple batteries yesterday with no success and then today it decides to work again

See if the prongs on the electrical plug are corroded or dirty. I had an old saw and a drill that quit working all of a sudden. Just for the heck of it took a wire brush to the electrical plug and they both worked again. I think sometimes the plugs can be too loose in the outlet as well.

So, I jumped headfirst into the Packout system today. $550 later, and all I need is the roller. I'm undecided if I want the single drawer, or just get the cart. Decisions, decisions........Screenshot_20250409-133810.pngmilwaukee-packout-rolling-single-drawer-48-22-8420(1).jpg

This is what I got today.

That stuff is nice and I am still living on some old red but bought 3 new HF drills and no way,,, no how and I buying anything else,,,,,,, not from them. 120 a piece with a 5A battery. I was going to buy some cheap and light then realized if I wanted lighter could put smaller battery in but there was no point of getting cheaper for utility work, screw driving when these are as good as any and less than 1/2 cost.

I bought Bauer 4 1/2 grinder with paddle,,, the Herc is stronger but that is a non issue and this grinder at 45$ is as good as any I have ever used and back in the day the pos cost 100,,, 30 years ago cost 100$ and this is better and like it better than any I have ever owned.
My bud raves about his Metabo and then asks me where he can find parts or get a 5 gallon bucket full of them fixed.

This grinder is where it's at, even though it's a yellow one. Milwaukee has nothing close.

In corded grinders there a few that are really good. Milwaukee doesn't concentrate on corded tools much anymore but used to have very good grinders. Metabo, Walter, Fein, Makita and Dewalt have some very good grinders. Walter are made by Metabo but have some exclusive features like anti-vibration. Tried some at a Walter demo day. The anti-vibration was game changing. They drilled a hole in a grinding wheel and you couldn't tell. Normally if you hold a grinder with one hand and twist your wrist you feel the torque of the grinder. With the anti-vibration even with a hole in the grinding wheel you barely feel the grinder spinning. They also have a slip clutch. Dewalt for sure has some really nice grinders that are lower profile and less fatiguing but not quite the level of Walter.

Like I said,, I used other ones, this is as good especially at 45$. I use a grinder several times a day, not several hours.

It was great when Makita came out with a 5" grinder. The 7/9" were very heavy and gave you a workout especially when you had to hold them up.
