Is there a later model engine that would fit and replace a D315 in a D4 tractor, 955 12A Tracavator, 112 Motor Grader?
The D311 is under Powered and the D318 is a 6cyl.
Would a later 3204 or 3304 fit in place of a D315 with out too much trouble.
Anything is possible but .... limits

I could help with maybe the supports or adapter designs. Hopefully there is somebody on the forum that's done one. You can raise the 3304 up off the frame no real problem. To lower it you could be talking cutting into the frame. If the engine with adapters is longer you could be up against the radiator.
Best of Luck
