A man in his 30s is in a serious condition after he was trapped under a crane in Cork city.
The crane was being delivered to a house on the Lee Road this afternoon, when it slipped from the delivery truck and trapped a workman underneath it.
Emergency workers were quickly on the scene and firefighters used lifting equipment to free the man.
The Health and Safety Authority has been informed and is due to launch a full scale investigation into the accident.
