I was at the salvage store we have several around here . I didnt buy any thing but they had 3/8 drill bits 6 for $5.00. I went back 2 days later to get some bits and they had some tig or torch rods. They were a $1.00 a pound i got 1/16,3/32 and 1/8. They have some great deals there if you need them but thats IF you really need it.

They were not opened. I wish they would have had some braising rods. They had some arc welding rods a while back some one said but I missed out on them.

I used to hit the pawn shops in OKC routinely when down there. All over the place it seems and many are branches of a single owner. Never know what can be "scored" at any of them. The permanent "flea markets" were always a treat too.

"Old Paris", and "Mary's" are two names that come to mind although I've not been in the area since retired five years ago.

Welding store I get a lot from calls me from time to time when they have some "goodies" I might like. Last deal was 50# of Hobart 7018, and 8018 rod in 10# sealed tins. I gave 1$ a pound for it.

I had a little note pad that i wrote down what i needed in i need to start doing that agin. If your not careful you will end up with alot of stuff just taking up space. I never dreamed i would have the tools i have today . Its hard to pass up name brand tools that are so cheap.

First pics. look to be common ER70S-2 mild steel Tig Tod's. They could be used for O/A as well. The last pic. are a type of chrome moly Tig rods. I'd have to look up the numbers to see exactly what type of chrome moly they are used for. Looks like you stole all of them!

308 stainless for joining 304 series stainless steel. Would be nice if you could find some 309 stainless. It can be used on mild steel and to join stainless to mild steel.

Stopped on the way back from hauling scrap. The ratchet is Snap on $25.00 extension is proto $8.00. I didnt know if the ratchet was snap on at first looks cheap and the selector is plastic.
