Got a champion 740a series 5 that has a hard time going into gear when hot. Serial number is 28302 and transmission is a 89561 serial number 715.
When it’s cold, it goes into gear and shifts no problem. After it’s been ran for a while it will hesitate going into gear (all gears forward or reverse). Although if you stay on the throttle lightly it will eventually go into gear slowly and be back to normal.
clutch pressures are around 200psi, and the main lock up pressure was slightly low, but I adjusted it by adding a shim in the lock up control valve to spec.
Filter had no signs of failure, changed the oil and filter with 10w.
took the transmission pump off, showed some signs of wear but not enough that it would be causing the problem..
redid the clutch about 1000hrs ago, resealed the clutch slave cylinder, and master cylinder. Has a new booster..
the gear shift display which from what I understand shows any error codes does not work.. and is showing no power from the controller..
anyone have any suggestions as to where to look from here? Local dealer doesn’t have much experience with these graders and isn’t able to offer any help
